Welcome to J.FitzPatrick Footwear!
My colleague David L aka Shellvedge recently came to NYC and we put together a nice little video that he shot for me, highlighting my shoe brand, J.FitzPatrick Footwear, and our shop in NYC.
For those of you who might not know, aside from writing about most brands in the welted shoe industry, I also have my own shoe brand: J.FitzPatrick. I launched J.FitzPatrick 10 years ago in London and then brought it over to NYC 6 years ago to continue my goal of seeing men wearing better shoes, with a focus on my fellow Americans. Sadly, we no longer have our London presence but can now be found in the heart of Manhattan, in the neighborhood of West Soho.
J.FitzPatrick Footwear specializes in offering classic dress shoes with our own personal twist. Growing up infusing multiple colors in one outfit, often matching my shoes to my upper clothing, you will find the incorporation of color in our shoes. We love two-tone shoes. We love using cloth materials, such as tweed. And we love taking classic ideas and revitalizing them to our own execution. We have done this with button boots, alpine boots, and even the butterfly loafer. Most importantly, we love seeing men dress well, starting at their feet.
Thanks to David, we were able to put a nice video together highlighting the above and our shop. The only sad thing is the unforeseen scaffolding that literally went up the day before. But that is what really makes it a true New York City Shop!
