Timber Lee III Ghillie Boots always impress me, even if I would not necessarily wear them. A lot of what he does is quite bold and I am not in love with his inverted heel, but I am always blown away by how cool his shoes/boots look when I see them! And this boot is no exception. That is not a boot for someone afraid of looks as this can be noticed a mile away. But in a good way, in my opinion.
I love blue. I love ghillies and I love two tones. I think it is a lot of alligator for me to swallow personally but love the combination of the shades of blue on top of the nubuck paired with normal alligator. That is creative thinking. The style is bold but cool. The pattern is top notch and the execution from here looks flawless. The heel that he has coined with a concaved shape is not for me but to each his own. But I love that he has been championing the ghillie boot. It is a rare style that few makers attempt. Hiro Yanagimachi also does a great version and before anyone asks me to attempt one, I think that I will leave it to these two for now 🙂
